North Face Clip - "The Ascent Begins"

Anticipation among press and gawkers builds as four climbers begin their historic attempt at climbing the north face of the Eiger mountain in a scene from the movie North Face. This clip features Johanna Wokalek (The Baader Meinhof Complex) and Ulrich Tukur (The Lives of Others, The White Ribbon), two journalists assigned to cover the event. ...great movie...seen it a dozend times...and you, people of "the new world", have to see it, too....of course, it´s a sad story but it reminds us that the nature rules the world, not mankind...we can send men to the moon for billions of dollars, but we can´t send men to the "eiger gipfel"...think about it...
