The tale of a hard-fought hospital VBAC told from the father's point-of-view. Lessons here about the importance of being educated on the birth process, having a supportive labor team, and trusting the mother's own instincts during the birth process.

The mother's POV is told here in text format: http://www.thefeministbreeder.com/jules-michael-birth-story

  • OMG! Can't believe the doctor's comment about his daughters birthday! Outrageous! HUGE congrats on Jules' arrival all natural. Hopefully it proved something to the pig-headed doctor.

  • I really wish i wouldve educated myself on thi stopic, i was forced into a cesarean. I really was hurt by the whole process. my doctor also made a comment about not wanting to miss church :-/

  • knowledge APPLIED is power. must have been hard to withstand the pressure. awesome story!

  • Very powerful!

  • This is wonderful, thank you for posting, it has truly motivated me. I had 2 natural child births and with my 3 it ended up with a c-section. I was in what the doctors called 'non-progressive labor' and they convinced me to have a c-section. I am now pregnant with my 4th child and I refuse to have another unnecessary c-section.

  • Excellent!

  • Thanks. Am posting to WOMBS Network. Needs to be shared
