  • I like it! I thought they were leaveing because their insterments broke!! =D very lovely

  • One of the best sympfonys ive seen. Haynd was rly clever and ofc full of ideas. It must have been painfull to make this :/

  • Oh man, this is why I LOVE Haydn. So a jokester in his entire life...this and "the joke" always make me happy to know I know a lot about him. Thank you Music History II !

  • Wow...Haydn was clever. He is just plain fun to listen to.

  • @Olegstuff21986 Haydn was Mozart's teacher; so there is a big probability this came out first.

  • I heard someone compare Haydn and Beethoven once:

"If you have to take an eleven hour car ride with Beethoven, he'll be completely serious and grumpy and no fun at all. An eleven hour car ride with Haydn would the most fun car ride you've ever had." lol, Of course, the two are still both equally amazing composers, but some of Haydn's pieces (such as this Farewell Symphony) must be watched, not simply listened to.

  • How this only has 8000 views I will never know. Beautiful performance. I also think the lights were a nice touch. Truly Brilliant Haydn.

  • Haydn was such a great man... found the subtlest ways to convey messages in his symphonies, using humour as well.

  • I love this piece, the back story too, a composer thinking about his orchestras Families. Very clever, Lovely piece and very well played.
