I had a problem with my DX wristwatch last week -- I dropped it on a table and the tachometer weight came loose, rendering the watch useless. I had to find a way to open it up, and after a while I did. I hope someone finds this useful, and I do apologize for the horrible quality.
Basically, you grab scissors or maybe pliers and put the 'razors' on the little holes next to the backside glass, and twist counter-clockwise carefully. It should open right up, allowing you to access the juicy innards. It's easier if you unlink one of the links in the wristband.
@Shogobg Most are, other watches use screws (obvious to open) and some need something small like a knife to get the plate off. But not only DX's watches use the type like in this video.
