They were just too good. I thank God that I was able to witness this miracle. First the Champions Cup and then the TOYOTA World Cup - trophies usually reserved for the wealthiest West European powerhouses like MUtd, Milan, Bayern, Real, Barcelona... Well, in 1991, Red Star Belgrade proved that it belonged to the same elite group.
Sadly, right after this success, Yugoslavia imploded in a vicious cycle of brutal civil warfare and violence. The fairy tale was over.
Still, UNFORGETABLE!
