It is a 900. Call or email nordic and ask them. They speak excellent english.

And it is possible to use the 9-3 hatch on the 900. I've got it set up that way on my 1997 ng. Dont know how you do it, it was that way when i bought it.

As i said, there are some body parts from the 9-3, but all-in-all it's a 900.

I did notice viggen 9-3 door sills at the beggining......

look at 0:44, its a 900. your brother must have a 900 made in 1993 or earlier, because the 900 from 1994-1996 was the same body as the 9-3 from 1999-2002. the difference is the tail lights on the 900 are on both sides of the trunk crease, while they are only on the outside of the crease on the 9-3.
