Enjoy the building story of my last machine: a fancy small from factor (SSF) Mini-ITX PC. Forum:http://www.zotacusa.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2420-gf9300-g-e-e3200-xigmatek-apache-all-inside-the-mini-skeleton/page__p__5270&#entry5270.
Components: Antec Mini Skeleton-90, Zotac Ionitx-D-E switched to a Zotac GF9300-G-E WiFi, Intel E3200, Xigmatek Apache EP-CD901, G-Skill DDR2-1066 2x2GB. The CPU is ocd from 2.4 to 2.7 GHz. Video memory is set to 512 MB. DDR2 ram is at 900 MHz. Windows Experience Index (WEI) is: CPU 6.2, RAM 5.9, Graphics 4.5, Gaming 5.4, HD 5.4. Not bad considering that it consumes only 36W idle and 62W full load. CPU core temps are 29C to 44C @ full stress with Prime95, GPU 35C. Silent, unique, functional SSF! Have fun!

  • What does it mean at 1:50 when you had electrical issues???

  • @computerpingu I really don't remember... I recall that one of the voltages was out of range and that I had issues with the integrated video. Sorry I cannot be more accurate.

  • Hi there. I am looking to build a computer for web browsing and some word documents. I was wondering id you experience any difficulty with the 90 Watt power supply. Does the 90 Watts slow your computer down?? Thanks

  • @computerpingu The 90W from the PSU are fine for this setting. Moreover, I recently added a fanless video card without any problem of power. The processor is fast enough even without overclocking (so lower consumes).

    Thank you for the interest.

  • Great video

I have the Zotac mobo and I am looking for a decent case to fit it

I was thinking about the 'Skeleton Mini-ITX' but it looks too exposed to dust and other things. If the holes / gaps were covered by clear windows it would have been great

  • @Ecktasy Thank you for the comment. It is the price you pay for having something so unique. Anyway, the dust problem is solved by sliding the mobo tray once a month to brush out the dust; so it is a requirement to have mounted a heatsink low enough to don't hit the ceiling frame (it is stupidly curved in the center and that decreases the space available). I modded that frame with a rotary tool and now it is OK. other than that, no coffee spills, no pets. But it rocks solid, believe me!

  • ok thanks. great video btw

  • Duuude Whats up with the gay music Fail!

  • Got the same mobo coming soon but that case looks horrible no offence...i was never a fan of seeing the guts of the pc all the wires ect looks shoddy, but it looks pretty good in the dark with that blue light.

  • Nice pc! Its small and awesome! How much was the total cost of the whole build?
