Derren Brown's hypnosis is incredible. Look at the subtle touch he uses to induce the trance, on the guy's shoulders, moving him around, tapping, then on the torso, the suggestion of impending doom when moving away...
But it is also definitely possible to do a 1 inch or 0 inch punch with just body mechanics. Not even too difficult. Much easier than what DB is doing!

Amigos,may be it's fake,really,may be...but take a look at hypnotic techics! Then you can find unbelievable things,really! I think he uses this... we cannot see,but it works...there is enough time to prepare and influence the volontairing person.

Unlike others, Derren Brown never claims to do anything mystical like disrupting Chi and he make's no claims to be a martial artist. In fact he never make's any claims at all other than he plays tricks with the mind, and damned good at it he is. Demonstrations like this are to illustrate how easily some people can be influenced to belive that something is genuinely real and how they unconciously create the end effect themselves. That's why the guy really believes that he's been punched.

This is real, these men get hypnotized by the master because they believe so deeply in it.
and i believe we all share a subconciousness so thats why he still felt it when he was behind him
