A reporter with Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" showed up at Gov. Rick Scott's budget unveiling Wednesday to ask him to take a drug test.

Governor Rick Scott wants thousands of welfare recipients to take a drug test before receiving benefits. Guess what kind of business Rick Scott owns. Wait for it....... A drug testing clinic!!! I'm sure this is merely a coincidence. Governor Scott wouldn't pass a law that would benefit him financially. Naw!!!!

Actually, this report isn't entirely accurate. The Daily Show sketch was to show the hypocrisy caused by a bill in Florida which required people receiving government support via taxpayers to accept forced drug testing. Assif inquired that since government officials' salaries were paid by taxpayers, they should be forced to test as well. One of the main advocates for the bill, a government employee, wouldn't take the test. He also pointed out the false statistics used to popularize the bill.

The fact that this report calls The Daily Show a "Fake news program" says it all. They are raising an important point through satire, and it seems to go straight over the heads of these people.
