To watch this, to smile and maybe shed a tear at the same time - great affection for this man, because he had a great affection for his world.

You are truly blessed with this wonderful man as your Grandpa. This video made me cry when he spoke about Hawaii changing and losing its soul.
This seems to be happening world wide, and it can only be helped by people like Ray touching our hardened hearts. RIP

One of the most pleasurable moments of my life was that i did visit him at his and Elodia's house - we talked story, played music and ate chinese food. Thanx Ray - RIP

One of the greatest disappointments of my life is that I couldn't get to visit him. Fortunately I do have all his recordings and I copied the video tape to cd before it became worn out. Slack key at its absolute best.

So, what was the tuning? Can you post it here for us? Thanks.

Mahalo,Breezepls for that information. I love that video. Now I can have it and enjoy it as much as I like. I can tell you have that Aloha Spirit the Hawaiians talk about. God bless you.
The previous clip with Raymond Kane dancing to the music of leward K. was a clip taken from a wybe tv special that also included Diana Aki. Does anyone know the name of that video or how I might obtain it. Thank you. Raymond Kane was great and surely will be missed.

Sorry for the delay in replying; just noticed your question.
The clip is from a video, now out in DVD: "Ki Ho'alu: That's Slack Key Guitar." It should be available anywhere they have Hawaiian music, or online at Amazon.
