I lost my business in 1991 and it took a long time to get over that, to get out debt, and to get off the grid. I was a financial advisor, and all my clients did great, thank heaven, but I couldn't get enough business during that recession to keep going. I would say, look after your health and try to remember this. That sounds like a cruel platitude but I hope you realize in a few years that this is probably actually good advice.

I'm finding it almost impossible to be happy these days as I single-handedly lost $150,000 out-of-pocket in BAD Real Estate Investments over the last 4 years...in fact, I'm really quite Depressed over it, and am wishing I would wake up from this nightmare....I'm really only happy when I'm sleeping.

we all have our little investment stories that went wrong. I have been pretty lucky i guess...but i research everything.
But best story was being short through the market crash in 2008. Some of our full members did the same and made some nice coin :)

yes but each and everyone of us have our own version of happiness I guess.
For me its having my health back and having trusting people in my life.

That lovely family picture at 1:03 was taken 6 months before she threw him out of the house that he mostly paid for then nailed him with crippling child support payments with imputed income guidelines leaving him barely enough to survive. Then she moved the guy she was cheating on him with, into their house with their kids.
Actually I don't know about the people in the photo but it happened to a friend of mine.
These days whenever I see a picture like this I immediately think of divorce.
