Pancho Villa - oil on panel - 14 x 18

Doroteo Arango Arámbula better known as Francisco or "Pancho" Villa, was a Mexican Revolutionary general.
His charisma and effectiveness gave him great popularity, he was provisional Governor of Chihuahua in 1913 and 1914.
Villa and his supporters, known as Villistas, employed tactics such as propaganda and firing squads against his enemies, and expropriated hacienda land for distribution to peasants and soldiers. He robbed and commandeered trains, and, like the other Revolutionary generals, printed fiat money to pay for his cause.
While his violence and ambition prevented him from being accepted into the "pantheon" of national heroes until some twenty years after his death, today his memory is honored by many Mexicans.

This painting is for my brother, he loves Pancho Villa, he collects old photographs and memorabilia of his favorite historical figure. So even though it's not authentic memorabilia, i hope he enjoys it...he better!!!

  • La canción queda perfecta!!!

  • VILLA is my man budy, nice oil congratulations my friend

  • oye que chido te salio ehh. ta chido tu arte. pinta a Emiliano Zapata

  • @MrSusielove mrsusielove.. he and his men weren't pirates or barbarians or something like that.. besides there were always american troops whom Villa and his men would encounter everytime they would invade the U.S. they would do hit and run attacks and hardly had time to even steal as many weapons as they could... however Zapata was the most noble outa the two. Zapata never accepted wealth and he even let women fight in his cavalry.. Zapata was the most loyal to their cause

  • @MrSusielove the U.S. admired his battle tactics and they befriended him.. but like always, eventually the U.S. betrayed him and sided with his enemies. because they had more power, more wealth.. well this really pissed him off. it would piss anbody off actually.. so then he would attack U.S. towns, steal their ammo and guns and head back to Mexico. he never did so to rape women. gemme a break.....

  • @MrSusielove Pancho Villa as a young man (early teen years) witnessed his patron trying to rape his little sister. so he did what any real brother would do. he kicked the guy in the balls, took out the pig's gun and shot that pig in the.. Head? groin? i can't remember.. so he said his good byes to his sister and single mother and and left town.. he then joined a band of bandits who were like robin hoods. they stole from the rich and gave to the poor.. eventually he became a general.....

  • @MrSusielove you belive that lie?? why would you belive something like that?? Pancho Villa wasn't a bad man. he WAS a war hero that fought for the poor people of Mexico.. look, what that guy vaggo55 tells you is probebly something that he read in the U.S. you know how much the U.S. hgates Mexicans.. i don't belive it and i never will.. you can go ahead and believe vaggo (most likely not Mexican) if you want. but look.....

  • that painting is tough the song goes well with it

  • HASTA ESTE DIA SIGUE SIENDO EL UNICO EN INVADIR TIERRAS AMERICANAS Y PARTIRLES EL CULO A LOS YANKEES EN SU TIERRAS, Y EL FAMOSO GENERAL GEORGE PATTON JAMAS PUDO ENCONTRAR A VILLA SE LA PELO A VILLA
