@duracell394 you're back is designed to absorb falling impact. in order for what you're saying to happen, you would have to land on a smaller point impacting your spinal cord. if it was concrete, you'd be more in danger of injuring your head than your back.

@DeeDubb1983 You are right, he could have crunmpled and broke the big guy whenever he wanted. I do disagree about the desperation slam. I think JJ pulled NFL down to the ground at the perfect moment. Watch it again, he snatches back and lands on his butt.

@duracell394 You mean after he had already been submitted on 4 other occasions prior to the desperation "slam." In a street fight, a BJJ fighter is taught to let go of the hooks and stand with him to prevent that slam. In a BJJ tournament, that slam would be illegal. I'm not sure what rules they agreed to before the contest.
