I really appreciate the truth. However, slander, libel, or hearsay makes you less credible. A few comments made about Rick Warren and Saddleback Church were totally wrong. I contacted the pastor of that church to defend the claims you made that 1) they do not clearly communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ and 2) that they encourage the people to seek Muslims in their community for help IS TOTALLY FALSE. Shame on you for posting information to defame God's shepherds! You defy your purpose.

@evasteward I think you need to look into this matter further if you are a truth seeker. Rick Warren is a wolf in sheeps clothes, but I only say that after years of research on these types of matters. Him along with the majority of these megachurch ministers are preaching a gospel of works and that men are or have the potential of being gods. If it was non salvation doctrinal minor errors or than it would not be so bad but this movement is deceiving millions and I really hope u look more into it

True Christianity is very small. There isn't very many of us that really hold on to the Word of God. Fake Christians outweigh true Christians by an incredible amount.

"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matthew 7:14)

God is perfect. He is the creator of everything. We are created in his image, for his purpose. He will not be mocked or be fooled. Religion is basically man made. Jesus Christ is the head of the true church. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Christ is our bridge to our heavenly Father, there is no other option. Everything else is a lie and a deception from Satan, the father of lies. Seek Jesus and save yourself from eternal damnation.

I grow tired of that kind of finger pointing - that the unbelief and heresy is in the other fellow.

let us consider OUR sin as well as denouncing the sin of others. this changes everything when we do

the gospel is thoroughly experiential: "taste and see that the Lord is good"

BUT experience MUST be moderated by the Word of God.

these people preach false dichotomy, feeding the error

to make a false dichotomy between doctrine and experience is to disobey the doctrine and leave people empty and needs unmet.

so we encourage the emergent to embrace the opposite error.

there are 2 errors, emergent and standard legalism

we dont need to re invent christianity, we need to BELIEVE IT.

the real reason emergent heresy arose is because of the aridness of mainline church. and this is arid as we the orthodox are riddled with unbelief. our legalism is proof of our unbelief (see galatians

we NEED a more profound encounter with God, but NOT by seeking rituals. we encouraged the emergent by our own arid example.

personal encounter is the promise of the new covenant. without it we are NOT witnesses to christ

Word of God is Jesus Christ. Not the Bible.

You wouldn't call the Bible the Prince of Peace or Emmanuel would you?

The Bible has words of Jesus Christ in Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Bible is not God. Knowing the Bible inside and out doesn't mean that you OBEY Jesus Christ. But those that are born again are led by the Spirit of God, and the Spirit leads into ALL truth. Do you hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to you?

Some good points, but some straw-man arguments as well. Tearing down a false image is not hard. Discerning the true character of a man or his ideas, that is something else. It requires humility and hard work to understand another person and another perspective. Far easier to depict someone and their ideas in caricature and then proceed to poke holes in it. You never arrive at the truth, but it's easy and oh so much fun, and you gain a false sense of superiority at the same time. Too sad.

@cd3dnw I believe the gate is narrow, far narrower than your average religionist who thinks that he can somehow add to or perfect the work of Christ by his efforts and devotion. Their is only one way, it is narrow, it is Jesus! Those who are in Christ are in the way. Those who are stuck in the efforts of their dogma, stuck in their religious performance and duty, stuck in their man made systems of religion and tradition, while believing they are in the narrow way, have missed it by a mile.

The Christian belief system has been reinvented since Jesus the Christ's death on the Cross. Today what we're seeing is a continuation (evolution) of the false belief system and leading the creators and believers alike to their eternal death.
