LOGLINE:
Two rent-paying bachelors and their uninvited friends hang around the apartment, daydreaming and reminiscing of wild times, random events, and whacky situations stemming anywhere from their past to their insatiable imaginations.
SHOW:
A half-hour show (including commercials). Short and Sketchy begins the majority of its sketches with an intro that is performed on stage in front of a live studio audience. The stage set is a college apartment meets bachelor pad in a hip, urban city. Throughout these intros, Short and Sketchys hilarious cast daydreams off to times shared together or random events that their twisted minds somehow create. These thoughts are presented in the form of pre-filmed sketches, which directly follow the intro. The two guys who actually pay rent (George Martinez and Scotty Dickert from MTVs A Shot at Love 2 with Tila Tequila) occasionally grow a bit weary of their mooching friends constantly stopping by; however, its hard to get too upset when their presence arouses such intense imagination. Lifes a daydream! And these guys can barely tell fantasy from reality!
Short and Sketchy is comparable to Comedy Centrals The Dave Chapelle Show and a realistic version of Foxs Family Guy. Short and Sketchy falls between the audience demographic of Nickelodeons All That and NBCs Saturday Night Live.
EPISODE BREAKDOWN: * There are approximately 4-5 sketches in each show. * The two guys living in the apartment and their twelve friends (who consider themselves roommates) are recurring characters throughout the season of Short and Sketchy. * All live sketches and interactions take place solely in the apartment (live stage). * Pre-filmed sketches are filmed at various locations. * Short and Sketchy has the ability to be a traveling show, selling out theaters in different cities across America, or maintain a home base, pending network preferences. * Occasionally, hysterical musical numbers performed by cast members will take place within a sketch. Many cast members are also musical artists who are capable of developing and have developed their own music to contribute to episodes of Short and Sketchy.

In a world where the sitcom shares network time with these reality shows, Short and Sketchy blends the live element of reality television with its part live stage show and part pre-filmed sketches. Thus, the audience gets the best of both worlds; the current craving of live television, along with the ever-beloved sketch-comedy sitcom format. We fully believe that our unique concept and approach toward the show will be widely accepted by a 15 to 32 year old target audience.
