I would totally beam down to Alpha Cerenkov I for some hot trans-species tentacle action. Much to the chagrin and disgust of my subordinates I'd imagine.

From what I've heard, everyone's pansexual for Admiral ZEX.

Zoq Foq Pik was the only one that had some emotion put into it IMO.

I think I have heard Aya Hirano among the Zoq-Fot-Piq... o.o

Everyone is gay for ZEX. There is no alternative.. So what do you think of ZEX's Japanese voice then? I think it's pretty cool :3
-
Hah. I'm digging the idea of ZEX as a perverted old hag.
They should totally have gotten Norio Wakamoto for the Kzer-Za, though.

@RealParadoxBlues It's like 'everyone's gay for Bridget', except you replace 'gay' with 'pansexual' and 'Bridget' with 'Admiral ZEX'.
ZEX is the Bridget of Star Control II. Minus the trap part.

I know they dont have scottish people in japan... BUT WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE YEHAT?!?!

...oh god Japanese Utwig is some of the worst voice acting I have EVER HEARD.
It's funny. I grew up with voiceless SC2 too, then played SC3 with voices, then UQM came and gave SC2 voices. I thought it was an improvement. I was bothered by some voices not sounding like in SC3, but most of them were as good. Except for the Orz. The SC3 Orz voice acting was absolutely incredible and conveyed things the SC2 one never did.
And for some reason I saw the female Zoq-Fot-Pik voice as being the plant.
Uhh... the "arms" pun don't work in Japanese. They didn't even make an attempt at it. D=

Oooo really? What does it translate to? :O

Haha - I think you'll be disappointed. It's not even funny in the Japanese. He just says: "Prepare to attack... Oh wait - I don't have any weapons! AHH! I don't have any weapons! Somebody stole my weapons! Oh wait, I never had any weapons."
There's no pun at all.
It's just bad... Even the "EARTHLING. YOUR. FACE. FUNNY. THING." is read in a completely normal way---no halting or anything.
Booo...

Interesting! :O I just find translation differences fascinating more than anything else. I guess the arm pun doesn't work if arms and arm aren't homophones. :O

They keep saying "wally waddy wah" or something similar. What does that mean?

it's "wareware wa". Wareware is a kind of formal, sort of old-fashioned way to refer to a whole collective like one's business (or in this case, one's species) I think.
