@framptonorchablis And what happens when you raise taxes for the rich? Or corporations? The cost of their goods and services going up, making working class pay more for said goods and services - lowering their total numbers consumed and their quality of life.

@burbonboy He dramatically raised the payroll tax, which is the biggest tax that non-rich people have to pay. There were additional taxes and fees that he raised throughout his term.
The big Reagan tax cuts mostly went to the rich. For everyone else it was either a wash or a tax increase.
