Cant wait for the day when collonisation or space collonys exsist so i can get the hell off this planet and leave the majority of my fucked up species to rot on it

This is just as powerful (if not more so) without the music in my opinion. Carl Sagan was truly a hero... listening to his voice has allowed me to take a step back, breathe, and come back to reality with a new perspective more times then I can count.

@gromann Yeah your right, I meant astronomer. Thanks for the correction.

@brittonseanweb ...astrologer?

Beautiful

Douglas Adams said that if an astrologer could not give you goosebumps, you should find another one. Carl, you gave me goosebumps.

I could quote a verse from Epic Rap Battles of History just now but i think it's not the right time...

this is a million times better than all the other versions with annoying inspirational music and a crappy slideshow.
What more do you need than the great man's words...
-
I have to listen to this every so often. If I didn't I might go insane.

Now try this with Hans ZImmer and Another Earth Movie. vimeo [dot] com/33337924
Love this. Someone once told me that Carl Sagan's words wouldn't be nearly as powerful without his "fancy music and tricky camera work." He believed that Sagan's popularity was due to some sort of propaganda tricks to try to trick people into believing what he believed. In reality, his brilliance and clarity of thought were just that. Miss you Carl.

@MickyNikki I agree, part of the reason I wanted it without music is I felt it forced across emotions to the viewer which they may not necessarily feel otherwise.
