Documentation of art installation in the Site Specifics '08 exhibition in the Carriage House at the Islip Art Museum. Silk fabric, vellum, hand painted acetate and Plexiglas, wire, rubber, wood, steel, light, motor and circuit. Structure is 8 x 10 x 2 feet. Room is 13 x 25 x 30 feet. A translucent silk fabric wall extends across the space with an entrance in the center. The viewer enters and walks a short corridor that surrounds a central room with walls also made of silk. In the center of the room is a wooden structure with a translucent vellum screen (8ft. x 8 ft.). Forms made of acetate, Plexiglas and wire are located between the screen and a slow scanning light that projects colorful silhouettes from the forms onto the screen. The sound of the motor fills the room.
