As soon as I saw the plastic covered chairs I knew the softly spoken Mick Eaton was up to something. The Material Boy collection was titled 'Lucid Objects' and focused on the idea of artificial objects in the modern world. Pretty boys strutted out in long oversized t-shirts, shorts with hand stitched fringing and transparent plastic sandals, jolting the boundaries of androgyny. The colour palette contrasted both serene shades of blue and a bold red, adding to the unexpected and unique style that Material Boy is known for.
