peak oil 2010

This video took me approximately 2 days to glean but I would hate to hazard a guess at how many barrels of oil it took to produce this video, the electricity, PC, kettle for 2 cups of tea, the food in between, the lights at night time, the clothes I was wearing at the time, the internet I used to find out the facts, the library that provided the secondary sources, the heating/lighting for the library, the list goes on. As a species we are addicted to oil. All drug dealers and pushers want their clients to continue taking their merchandise but never want to let them know how independent and normal their clients could be if they simply stopped or weaned themselves off the drug. The same method should be used to remove our dependence on oil, the arguments for oil use are feeble attempts to sell and are money based pitches. Remove this dependency, pressurise your MP. Change comes from the bottom up, demand change and insist on taking a close interest on this subject. YOUR KIDS WILL THANK YOU FOR IT.
