Here it is! Originally aired Sunday May 26, 1991. One of the most expensive tv movies ever made. It was also a pilot for a tv series that ABC didn't pick up.

It concerns a town that was destroyed by toxins so they move to the moon to starting a mining colony there.

Features appearances by Astronaut Charles Conrad, the third man to walk on the moon.

Written and directed by Lee David Zolotoff (MacGyver, The Spitfire Grill)

  • Is the part where Addie tells Gill she is pregnant deleted? I've watched these clips over and over and I havent seen it. LOL That was my favorite part of this. Did I just miss it?

  • I thought that I had it. Apparently I missed a couple of scenes (this and the moon rescue scene) when I transferred this. When I get the chance I'll have to add them in somehow, either within the context of the movie or as a special post.

  • I recorded it on television when it originally aired in May of 1991.

Was the expense why it didn't get picked up or were there other reasons? It's great to find someone with inside information.

  • I was working in the fields with Perrey Reeves and the character of "Rachel".

  • Did everyone think the series would sell when they filmed it?

Was is disappointing when it didn't go?

Would you have had a role in series had it went forward?

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm in it. Lee David began every day by saying: "Let's make history".

  • Neat! What role did you play?

  • OK. That would be great. Thank. Let us know when you do.

  • Makes me want to go to the Moon

  • Oh God, yes, although it was very expensive at the time. We had 3 sound stages at Culver Studios. For me, I was lucky to get the pilot, so I didn't have that mcuh invested career wise, but especially for Lee David it had to a a HUGE disappointment at the time.

I may have had a role, you never know. You can only assume it wasn't meant to be. How did you get a hold of it?
