Sony OLED
Here's Aaron at CES with Sony spokesman Jim talking about Sony's latest technology: OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes). OLED TVs basically glow. Contrast ratio is one million-to-one. Off-axis viewing is superb and response time is basically immeasurable. Oh, and they're about 3 millimeters thin. Pronounce it how you want, OLED rocks.

  • If they can work out the life time then I can't wait to buy one tvs between 2012-20 should be alot of fun to see

  • yeah starts at 2500 for 11 inches

  • pipi

  • As with ALL new technology.. it comes at a price.. The first initial panels will be expensive and later be rubbish compared to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.. generation of OLED displays..look at the first plasma tv now..lol. So as these displays bombard the mainstream.. the technology will only get cheaper..unless inflation and import charges rise the same as uk petrol prices!! Anyway forget OLEDs.. try a search for the ultimate displays...LASER TV.
