This was her best performance of this program. Everything was perfect. I loved the timing of the spiral to the music. After hip surgery, I don't think Michelle could have come back competitively, but this shows she's still got the "it" factor.

As an American who truly loves all the past great American skaters, I can easily say that Michelle is my all time favorite. From the first time I saw her skate a 12 yrs old I was a charmed and amazed at her work on the ice and as she grew into a young woman I was charmed and amazed at her demeanor off the ice too. A lovely champion is every aspect of her life so far as I can tell.

When Kim Yu-Na mentioned once in an interview that Michelle was her favorite skater and the one she tried to model herself after, I thought "yes, I can see that in you and in your skating too." Kim is a treasure and has taken all that Michelle gave to a new higher level.
They are peas in a pod... birds of a feather... gifts to us that get to watch them.

If Michelle would return to skating just for a year as a pro, there would be professional skating competitions on TV again. I miss seeing the World Pro Championships every year. The Disson skating shows are so boring and I am really sick of watching Jennifer Robinson and Caryn Kadavy (although they are great skaters.....just need some new faces)
