BTW you can get things like the air cans powered coated fairly cheep. Vulcan Black is the powder coat color for those. Take care.

3.) mgjon if you are aggressive and work on it every day for 8 hrs or so you should be able to get it done in a few months. You do know about Victoria British, right? Anyway I need to update my site, my restore is much further along then the photos on the site. Well if there is anything I can help you with I would be happy to help. I am going to dig deeper into your restore photos after dinner, I have to get cleaned up and go eat, I will get back to you. Nice work on the carbs, CONT>

I have my old set of SU's for my Sprite but I bought a brand new set of Webers which cost a little over a grand. After you bead blasted them you should or could have had them re-nickel plated, this will preserve the alloy a bit more but its not absolutely necessary. Well you have an MG that really isn't in to bad of shape, at a leisurely pace it may take a year or two to restore, CONT>

@mgjon57 Thanks for the site Jon, I went and took a look. I read the story about the discovery of the MG and have to say they is how it is most of the time, we have pulled Healeys out of old barns under mass amounts of trash etc. Most of the time the spouse or someone dies and the remaining air to the fortune has no idea have valuable the cars are. I did look at you restore of you carbs, those are Zenith Carbs, that is what they used on MG's and the Healeys they used SU's. CONT>

Joe,
You can see my '73 and my '62 at Spritespot on the second page of the photo albums under "1962 Midget Project". The '73 project is in a sub-album.

@SendinK9 Thank you for your posts. I went to your web site, great pictures and videos! I finished a restore on a 1973 Midget a couple of years ago (I have almost 12,000 trouble free miles on it now) and I just started a ground up on a '62 MK1 Midget. Your web page will be of some help as I move along with the rebuild. I hope to meet Terry at the Buttonwillow VARA race, if not there then at the next VARA race.

Terry has been working with these great cars for over 40 year, we not only restored the 3000, 100-4 100 etc but also MGA Twin cams, TR5's, Jags. I was the chassis guy and did much of the sheet metal work. Anyway again thank you so much for the videos, Terry was telling me this is the first time he won at Fontana. Well have to do my taxes lol. You can visit my site and see Terry standing next to the PMO along side Sterling Moss, CONT>

I actually drove that PMO a few times. You can see my restore here at w w w . austinhealeyrestore . com Its a small world and I want to say thank you so much for the videos, Terry watched them and thats how I found out. I had to contact him yesterday because there is a writer by the name of Mary Otte who want to write a book about AH Sprites, she come across my website and contacted me and in return I put her in touch with Terry. (from SendinK9):
Thanks for the great videos. I have known Terry for well over 20 years now and back in 88 I worked for him in California at his business called the Toy Shop and Austin Healey restoration shop, I am best friends with Terry's brother Paul and for 2 years I actually rented a room off Terry at his huge house lol. I worked for Terry for just under 4 years and it is where I bought my 69 Austin Healey Sprite MIV which I still have and am presently restoring. CONT>
