That is not a motor its an engine. A motor is a mechanical devise that performs work via the utilization of energy from an alterior sorce like a battery. It DOES NOT MAKE POWER it USES it. An engine performs work via its own power. Engine and motor r not synonyms despite what those ignoramuses in nascar might have u belive.

the title is in german language. motor is the german word for engine.

but btw: ...An engine performs work via its own power... that is not true! an engine produces some sort of output from a given input. a motor is a special engine that transforms some input(fluid, electricity) into kinetic movement...

what do you think: for what reason does an engine need fuel...

I ment no offence or hostility with my inital comment. It just erks the shit out of me when dumbass americans constantly get this wrong, along with many many other things. V8s r the greatest "motors" in the world being another. Well wachya gunna do? Cant kill em cant join em.

Here think about it like this. U can take an "engine" and hook it up to a generator and produce electrical energy. U however can not hook up a "motor" 2 a generator and do the same. Also what immidiately hit me was that we r from 2 differnt countries and speak 2 diff. languages. No offence but Duetch is no where near is complex as English. One word can mean 5-6 diff. things and 2 words can mean or conotate subtley diff. things.

Yes the input being POTENTIAL ENERGY(thermal) and the out put being ACTUAL ENERGY(kinetic) thus the engine is the divice by wich the energy is actualized thus IT MAKES THE POWER. A motor transforms ACTUAL ENERGY in2 KINETIC ENERGY thus it DOES NOT make the energy, it uses it. The piont realy being they r very different.
