Here is a short video I promised to make with Burt Reynolds and Dennis Weaver added to the credits and with a faster tempo to the music. This is the 1967 theme song verison for Gunsmoke. Enjoy! :o)

Hi Paula. I remember this TV version of Gunsmoke's theme, as well as your other extended Gunsmoke opening contribution. Terrific! Have you ever heard Rex Khouri's radio version of the Gunsmoke theme? Beautifully done, with that haunting arpeggio guitar. Regards, John

If you are the one that just made my video rating go down, that wasn't a nice thing to do. :o( The source where I got this song stated that it was the 1967 version. How was I suppose to know it was wrong...if it really is wrong. How do I know what you say is right? :oP I was very young when Gunsmoke went off the air so I really don't remember it. I only see the episodes on TVLand. The ones they show are from the later years and the theme song is different than this one. *SIGH*

I was just letting you know which year this version of the theme is from (sometimes in reruns, they'll have the wrong theme stuck into an episode--- even when I bought some GUNSMOKE videotapes years ago, they had this theme incorrectly inserted into 1966 episodes.) *kisses*
