  • What...... No No No. He is playing Gezzers bass line on the kick drum. Not Bills drum part. Please disregard this so called lesson. It is nonsense.

  • Whoever transcribed this is deaf. The kick drum part is on the 1s and the 3s. If you cant figure out the bass line from the kick drum you defiantly shouldn't be transcribing for a magazine. I do like the 8s though, it sounds cool. Just not accurate of you're going for the album version.

  • If you can't figure out the drum part to "Paranoid" without the help of a teacher, you might consider another hobby...

  • After the solo, he does add the snare hits on 1, 2, 3 and 4

In the last bridge than, he alters the bassdrum aswell

This is just what I think guys

Don't break me down if I'm wrong, but I think it's mostly correct

  • I've been trying to figure out the drums a long time

He plays the bass drums most of the time on 1 & 3, but plays some variations sometimes:

Sometimes he adds a bassdrum on the & of 4 (?) before hitting those 3 crashes when ozzy is singing

In the part after the bridge in the middle he starts adding basses on 1, 2, 3 and 4

that gives that nasty effect like he's hitting the snare, but in fact he is not

  • Why would Paranoid need to be slowed down?

  • You should have done the drum to 'Behind the wall of Sleep'[. This is not 'Paranoid'

To my uninitiated ears - you know Nowt!!

  • Gosh you are looking at a guy with great skill who writes for a drum magazine and a leading light in online drummer. You guys who have criticised Nate must be incredible drummers or for the five minutes you may have played the instrument. Post your comments when you can play like Nate. Despite the comments its clear 95% of you don't have a clue whats going on.

  • Hello, can you teach us Die Die my Darling from Metallica/Misfits?

  • @novadrian i got here because im having a hard time trying to listening to the bass drum in the album version
