Socialism is an economic system, not a dictatorship.

He won the election. So what? Because he is from the socialist party, doesn't mean he will be a bad president. Btw, they're really social democrats and progressives.

you're right, the eurozone is in big trouble..but at the same token, comparing hollande to obama isn't really feasible. while you may consider obama to be "socialist", we're still not taxed to the extent that the french are, and will be.

Looking at the situation, it's hard to see the euro and eurozone surviving much longer. France's debt level is close to 90% of its entire GDP. Hollande seems to think like Obama. He thinks taxing the hell out of a handful of rich people at the top will solve the country's fiscal problems. Good luck with that.

my gosh, it's the beginning of the end.

EU will be revoked, they won't suffer another economical crisis in France.

Wow! This result will send panic throughout the EU leadership and I salute the French voters who have made it possible. About time the likes of Angela Merkel were given sleepless nights instead of expecting every European leader to automatically lick her boots. Brilliant result in Greece as well. What has austerity achieved? NOTHING!
