Monster Hunter Cosplays At Anime Expo 2010

Me and my Monster hunter cosplay group so far, just at the beginning of day 3. We all worked hard on our Monster Hunter cosplays. Had so much fun, but it was so hard to move around with everyone stopping us for pictures!!! We caught the lime light of cameras, and the hearts of Monster Hunter fans at AX10. We got to carve more than just monsters... we got to carve humans!!!
Kirin Female Armor - Kinokashi
Kirin Male Armor - Kerozuki
Male Kushala Daora Armor - Jberserk
Male Rathalos Armor - Cholo

We also met up with a Harvest armor, and bone armor cosplay! We met the Mega64 cast, and I got to poke Rocco's belly. And Met one on one face to face with Danny Choo the Tokyo Storm Trooper. :)

Info on the creations of the armor
The Kushala and Rathalos armor were made by my two kuyas, Rathalos was made from foam and some other materials, his Dragon-wood LS is made from foam also. His sword weighted about 7lbs? Each "scale" on the armor was individualy cut and painted. The Kushala armor is also made out of foam and coated with resin to make a shine to it. (He also did Akantor Armor last year, sadly it was ruined a few days later.. as he said) Both male and Kirin were made by me (I am still a beginner at making and sewing cosplays) and were made out of fabric and fur. The horn for the female is made out of Polymer clay, the Male Kirin helm was unsuccessful because it got ruined the day before Anime Expo 2010 started. The sword for Kushala was just a normal sword bought at the con, and the Hidden Ones (Narga DS) is made out of wood, spraypainted, and primed and was made by my boyfriend (the male kirin in this vid)

@PIkitsuneperson exactly. my parents claim im wasting my money, but its not like pple around my town are interested in my likes. Conventions and stuff like this are ways of meeting those who have the same interest.  Thats why i go. I love walking around and having people go "oh i like you costume i want to take a picture." when im older, im gonna make the Jinouga armor and go to a con. it will be awesome!
