King of Anything-Sara Bareilles/ What the Hell-Avril Lavigne mashup

I actually had time the other day to record something. I was really in the mood but, alas, I was without a completed mashup! Then I remembered I wanted to try these two songs together at some point, so I put the whole thing together during the 20 minutes I was driving home. I was so proud of myself; I was like, yeahhhh, I got this—I'm totally gonna wing it!! No rehearsal needed! Umm...note to self: "Winging" things = "This will require 27 takes to get it right."

I thought I'd be able to just turn on the camera and sing/remember the entire arrangement I just made up. Fail. I could not remember the melody/lyrical transitions at all lol. Oh, and there was clapping involved too... You know how some people can't walk and chew gum at the same time? This is why I don't chew gum. :D

So what started out as my on-the-fly, no-need-to-rehearse, this-will-be-so-easy-to-record mashup turned into a song I had to re-attempt a good 15 times before I even made it to the end of the song; then I made multiple changes...which I then had to remember...resulting in another 10 takes of singing it in full. So basically I just drained several camera batteries during all this, haha.
