  • cream always rises to the top: there were people saying the very same things about Manfred and the like ("It wont last" "call that music?" etc etc) I know: I listened to them - both. My 18 year old son plays me the music he likes: all 21st century stuff from this decade and I have to say I am truly impressed. We both like music from 60s and subsequent decades but I would never say "music is not as good now" and if I did I think I would need to get out more........

  • @overner2001 thanks for your comments

  • @priapus56 It's actually the flute setting on a Mellotron. In the 60's record companies didn't really know what they were doing, so loads of great music got through their filter. Now the companies have almost complete control and only sanction more of the same stuff that sold well last week, so we get more Britney and Bieber clones.

  • Reminds me of some of the wonderful girls I dated in the 60s. Viva Six Bells girls.

  • @overner2001 what a refreshing approach to the subject of pop music, I think the 60s and 70s were brilliant but that's not to say that there are no good groups around today.

  • They are all still playing - paul jones runs them as 'the blues band' - sound great too!

  • Love this song!

  • These greats songs of 60's and 70's were simply amazing! Today we only hear the

    the sameness... :(
