OMG,.. that;s what I do NOT want to go into! I want to do server maint,, I can only take so much of these "Where's my file? Why are the windows ghosting? Why is my computer slow?" Random questions from friends and family... NO CUST SUPPORT! ARRRG!!!

Unfortunately your going to have to take care of situations like this regardless of your position in the tech. industry. Helpdesk sucks, but everyone has to start somewhere. Server maintenance isn't really a full job role. That will probably be one of your many roles if you land a position where you get to do that stuff. In many cases, helpdesk employee's will perform basic server maintenance tasks as well.

well, the fact is that it's even more true than just funny. 'internet helpdesk. please hold'. how many times do we hear such messages? especially when you call a paid number.

Yeah, but the idiocy of the 'customer' is sometimes even worse then shown in this video. If you have to call someone make it work, you shouldn't own it.
