A collection of memories from the FINAL FANTASY series.

I'm late to the party, having only gotten into FF in 2008. I played most of the games that same year -- for the most part in order of release -- buying any game I could find for my backwards compatible PS3. This is my first time doing something like this for a game series and it was a lot of fun.

ALL footage of every game was recorded by myself using the HD PVR. The project took just under a week.

----------
FAQ / Trivia:
----------

I. Did my best to stay spoiler-free; after examining the clips for each game (trust me I triple checked) and their arrangement I'm confident that AERITH DIES

II. FF11 was skipped because I never played it / wasn't really interested in MMOs and felt it wasn't essential. I may try FF14 when I start hearing more positive things about it than negative.

III. Favorite in the series is probably FF4 (which ironically is the one I had the most trouble recording interesting footage for from my save point), though I dislike placing one above others because they're all good in their own ways.

IV. Least favorites are FF2 & 12. And I don't care for the midget polygon Nintendo DS look for FF3 & 4. I'd kill to see FF3, 5 and 6 remastered like for FF4 Complete Collection.

V. A lotttt of footage for FF7, 9, 10, 12, and 13 was cut and didn't make it into the video to sync up with the selected BGM. And for FF13, there was so much left I wanted to show AFTER cutting stuff out that still I had to extend the BGM...

VI. I handled FF5 pitifully at first (all clips were from the beginning of the game like for FF1, but for FF1 it was intentional), so pitifully that I went back after I was done with 13 and added new footage. The reason for this is because The Rift is a pain in the fking ass to get back to the world map from (and then I remembered the thief's "flee" ability).

VII. The FF1 & 2 remakes shown are actually PSX ports of the WonderSwan Color remakes of the NES versions. Yes, ports of remakes of NES games.

VIII. I understand the original SNES versions of FF4, 5 and 6 are superior to the Chronicles/Anthology versions, but I opted for convenience of playing the series on one console.

IX. My first FF was Tactics, and then throughout 2008, FF4 through 12, and then 1. In 2010 I played FF13 and then 2 and 3.

X. Some people want me to use the original character art instead of the 2008-09 DISSIDIA versions. How's it feel to want?

XI. I still have my 10-2 innocence. Yeah no thanks, not playin that. I am however excited somewhat for the FF10 HD update.

XII. I had an extremely hard time deciding between two tracks I love for FF10. Originally it was "Sprouting" -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJTXozr0-Bg

XIII. I saw a truly epic orchestrated track of FF2's main theme that is just fking badass; I passed it up because that's WAY too good to use for FF2.

XIV. I noticed the FF10 part has wayyyy too much Tidus. Probably because it's his story and it's just him on the US cover. Same with Lightning.

XV. I didn't use the theme songs w/vocals for FF9 through 13 because I felt it was most appropriate for FF8's Eyes on Me.

XVI. "You don't have X item/magic/summon/job/stat" -- Congratulations on entirely missing the point of this video.

XVII. I do play other games -- mainly the Metal Gear series -- but other random games/series like Left 4 Dead 2, Wipeout HD, Call of Duty, Dragon Ball, Star Wars, Mortal Kombat, Burnout Paradise, Sonic, Mario, various Capcom fighters, etc.
