Obama Likes Spending (Project 12, 3/12)

Having reached the third month of President Obama's third year in office, this work in progress becomes the third remix video of Project 12. The remix is a segment of a larger ongoing video project that will reach completion when Obama leaves office. The compilation tediously extracts fragments of video footage from the www.whitehouse.gov archive*, chronicling every time Obama says "spend, spent, spending" etc. This YouTube version of the video has been modified to 6 minutes 24 seconds and has an alternative ending to the larger ongoing work.

*The only exception to this distinction is SOTU footage.

@DiranLyons I only said the video is a little misleading. you pressed me, I've replied. there's alternatives to everything, I'm not making defending anyone per se. it's just how I felt concerning the way this video might be received by certain audiences.

@sixstringCM06 So there were no alternatives to spending billions on airstrikes in Libya, for example, where approximately 30,000 have died (depending on the source)? And that sure isn't a war, it's a "military action." 1984. And next you are going to tell me that our intervention had nothing to do with oil. You have the last word. I'm done.

@DiranLyons in regards to the bank, bailing them out was an unfortunate but necessary evil at the time. any administration would have done the same. the Obama stimulus was a fraction of the cost of the wars and tax cuts for the wealthy that came before. it was also 40% new tax cuts thanks in part to GOP digging their heels in the sand.
