It occurs to me that as they seek to overwhelm every system, we are all going to be faced with individually-overwhelming force, and it will be much more necessary to help our neighbors and friends in ways we would never have done before. Prayers will be needed. Service will be needed. Work will be needed. No more living near people and never knowing a thing about them. We will have to become a whole network of support for one another. If we don't, then we will fall individually before the onslaughts leveled against us.

The Whitehouse has plans also to directly educate the children about the importance of healthcare reform, the census and the environment. This is just the beginning. Why not address the children when they are home, with their parents?

President-elect Obama says that all of this spending is necessary to boost an economy that is likely to get worse before it gets better. He also told Meet The Press that deficits dont matter, saying we cant worry, short-term, about the deficit. He added that we need to make sure any stimulus plan is large enough to get the economy moving.

I don't care who said it. Whoever says deficits don't matter is wrong. They do matter.

When I heard this on the news I thought, well why are the republicans making such a big deal about it. Hearing this, and what was actually interrogated to the kids is horrifying!! Those poor kids hopefully they don't say anything bad on those forms that can be come back to them 20 years from now. The president is talking directly to you. The next generation is all going to be schizophrenic. And we are going to wonder why. Hey kids big bird is speaking to you again you had better listen to him!
