  • We can't get to a "color blind" society by pretending racism doesn't exist.

  • @megagagnon1

    Why?

Breithart did smear Sherrods reputation. Whatever rep this freeper freak had, he managed to ruin himself...

And Fox "News" are the lapdogs of modern day KKK...

  • Read the Michelle Alexander book THE NEW JIM CROW: MASS INCARCERATION IN THE AGE OF COLORBLINDNESS.

  • @MaryJesusJoseph - OK, thanks for the clarification. I react to the term color blind because I understand it as another phrase racists use to attempt to hide their racism, like "I don't see you as being..." or "Playing the race card..." (as if the civil rights is just a game to be played) or "Some of my best friends are..."

  • @ankharris I didn't say I want a color blind society, I was mocking what this guy says. Conservatives always say we should have a color blind society--which is another way of saying "don't call us on our racism." But, as far as legal and social services go--people should all be treated the same.

  • @MaryJesusJoseph - Why would we want a color blind society? I want to see color, and diversity of color in all it's glorious beauty. Diversity is what makes the human race beautiful. You know who said we should have a color blind society? The racist President George H. W. Bush. Color blindness means we have a society that cannot see the reality of the way the world is, seeing everything in black and white, just the way the right wing wants things to be.

  • Anyone notice that fascist Republicans are buying ads on progressive youtube postings? The GOP learned their propaganda tactics from Lee Atwater, Karl Rove and Joseph Goebbels.

  • Shirley Sherrod should apologize to Breitbart for her part in smearing his reputation. Breitbart was set up, Michael Savage called it from day one, and just like Savage predicted, Sherrod is suing Breitbart.

  • Wow, this guy's parsing is on a mental level. That he's taking issue with the term "lynching" so much seems mendacious at a base level.

  • KKK member called Hugo:("Bright in Mind and Spirit" or "intelligence") Germanic..with the ironic surname of Black:)
