`Trash [62;

When I arrived at my apartment, I found Selena asleep on the bathroom floor. She looked so tired...so helpless. Gently, I scooped her up and carried her to the bedroom. As I laid her down on my bed, Selena stirred and groaned until her eyes slowly opened.

"I don't feel good, Nick," she groaned.

"What's wrong?" I brushed my palm against her face to move away stray strands of hair.

"I keep throwing up. I thought this nausea crap was supposed to end already."

"It will," I sighed, planting a tender kiss on her forehead.

Selena pouted, pulling me down to her, "Cuddle with me."

"Okay. Move over some," I nodded.

The bed shifted a bit as we made ourselves comfortable. Selena laid on her right side as I spooned with her.

"How's Miley?" Selena questioned through a heavy yawn.

"She's okay," I ran my hand down Selena's waist and onto her slightly swollen abdomen. "I'm taking her to her appointment on the eighteenth."

"Is the baby okay?"

"Yeah," I replied, "He moves a lot."

"I think he might be as stubborn as his father," she giggled as she crept closer into my chest.
"Shut up," I laughed, tightening my arm around her waist to hold her closer.

"You shut up, Nicholas," Selena retorted.

"What if I don't want to shut up?"

"What if I make you shut up?"

"How are you going to make me shut up?" I cocked an eyebrow.

Selena raised out of her spot and turned around. Now, her eyes were burning into mine with that small twinkle that always lived in them. Slowly, she moved onto her hands and knees and crawled on top of me.

"I like this," I smirked cunningly.

Selena was now on top of me; each hand beside my head, each leg beside my hips. Her hair dangled by her face as she leaned down to meet my lips. Selena pressed her lush lips against mine lightly. As she pulled away, there was a small smirk on her face that made me wonder what she was thinking about.

"I love you," she whispered.

"I love you, too," I rasped back, pushing her back onto the bed and hovering carefully over her. "Selena...what would happen if someday I...you know...decided to make things official between us?"

"What are you talking about, Nick? We are official," she laughed.

"No, Baby," I focused in on her dark orbs, "I mean...give you my last name..."

"Marriage?" Selena gasped.

"Yeah," I nodded, brushing my thumb over her eyebrow, "What if I asked you to marry me? Would you say yes?" I could see Selena's eyes quickly glazing with fresh tears and I noticed my lungs struggling for air. There was an lingering tightness in my chest as she remained silent. "Baby?" my voice shook dangerously.

"Do...do...Nick...," Selena struggled, "Wife?"

I nodded rapidly, then grimaced anxiously, "Do you?"

"Wife?" Selena repeated.

"I pictured this going so much smoother," I sighed, placing my forehead in my palm.

"Wife?" Selena repeated again.

"It's okay to say no, Sel," I struggled for breath as my lungs continued to fail me, "but please say something."

Selena nodded frantically, confusing me even more. "Is that yes, you'll marry me or is that yes, you'll say something?" Then she started shaking her head.

"For God's sake, Baby," I grew even more confused.

"I'll marry you," she blurted out.

"Really?" my lungs tightened even more.

"Yes," she nodded, releasing the tears that were threatening her eyes for the past few seconds.

"Thank God," I sighed heavily, regaining every precious ounce of oxygen my lungs could
