Great video. We have a african grey that plucks also. We wanted to know what amount you used to dilute the aloe vera. Could you give us the amount? Thank you.

@MollyMofo69 feather plucking and even mutilation can be caused by many things, stress, grief, diet, health issues, skin issues even the metal their cage is made from can be possiable causes. Some do it out of boredom and habit, sort of like a humans biting nails. Even birds in the wild do it. The creator of this video was looking for answers and documented what she tried - the journey needed to get her beloved pet healthy and to stop the cycle. and FYI Aloe Juice can be found @ Wal-greens/mart

@MollyMofo69 if the film maker puts this much into making the feathers grow back do you think she would get the bird to pluck them out again? Nobody wants a plucked parrot :/ and this video is helping people all over the world with there plucked parrots

@MollyMofo69 Do you have a parrot? Do you know anything about them? African Greys in captivity are very prone to plucking, this sharing of info is vital to parrot owners whose birds have this problem (I'm lucky, mine doesn't - but I'm aware it's a common issue). The woman who posted this obviously went through a lot to get her bird better, so say something positive or don't bother. The real problem is that these birds shouldn't be bred as pets - they belong in the wild.

Well done , I bought a so called breeding pair of eclectus , when I put them in my aviary she would'nt have anything to do with the cockbird and started plucking , yes it could have been the move from one place to another , but I gave the cockbird a new proven hen and he did'nt even know how to feed her , something one would imagine he would know if he had supposibly bred b4 ..hence my hen is in a huge cage on my patio with daily care , she has stopped plucking , but still looks like s^#t.

You can also buy pure aloe vera juice in all health food stores and dilute that into a spray bottle..
