My boyfriend's family still use the incorrect pronoun and the birthname.. The only thing I've been doing is just listening to whatever they have to say then when I talk, I use the correct pronouns. It's a long haul, but it's totally worth it in the end. Welcome to the 'tube!

Hey Toi! Great vid.
When I came out the conversation was based on "I'm transitioning to male. My new name is Warren. I'm using male pronouns now." But what really helped other people adjust was having 3 strong allies: 1 at uni, 1 of my flatmates and 1 coworker who always refer to me as "he" or "Warren" even when I'm not around and they correct other people who don't.
