The first-to-fight is the U.S. Army Airborne in our world that moves by the speed of the air; marines if they get any action at all, hold what the Paratroopers take or clean-up in the wake of the Army's tracked, mechanized heavy forces. The first Americans military forces that went into Afghanistan were U.S. Army Special Forces ODAs, a contingent of the 10th Mountain Division and the 75th Ranger Regiment shown here preparing to jump into Southern Afghanistan to take ground that would later be occupied by foot-slogger marines as "Camp Rhino". Don't let the lying marines tell you otherwise.

The Rangers are donning T-10 round, troop parachutes and reserves. Note the large modified M1950 weapons case.

  • @MrPelhambay You forgot to mention "killing Pat Tillman, one of their own".

  • 87th Inf Reg10th Mtn Div, 187th Inf Reg 101st arbn, and the 75th Ranger Reg were the first units to go into Afghanistan after 9/11... they continue their fight against Al Queda to this day, spreading peace... one round at a time

  • @droga187 USE YOUR COMPUTER!!!! LOL!!! RLTW!!!

  • @ArabsStank I think 10th mountain division is the best to go before trying out for ranger school because they beaically teach you everything the rangers will except for the lack of food i belive

  • @arbiter555 ???? There is a HUGE difference between the Army and Navy. I'd know. I'm Army and I have alot of buddies that are in the Navy.

    Big Difference!

  • @pups578 marines are standard infantry for the navy no different from teh army cept a little better at swimming

  • @ChiChiRodriguez1 You're GT score must be 107 or higher in order to meet the requirements(as far as the ASVAB is concerned)

  • @ChiChiRodriguez1 Not too sure if asvab score plays a big role......I think it's all up to the current availability of Op 40 (Ranger) contracts. Not saying you're incapable....but it's wiser to do it later after you've been in an Infantry unit than doing it before getting a taste of what an Inf unit is like.

  • Good luck and god speed to all incoming Rangers and all that have passed before. Rangers lead the Way!

  • @droga187 An Army Ranger can techincally be considered Specail Forces of the Army, and a Marine is in a compltely different branch of the military.
