You are a brave man (to confront a national myth, that is.) I lived in Korea for 2 years, so I know all about another national myth, fan death. Check out my vids! I waited until I left country to speak up about fan death. I once told my students I regularly slept with a fan, and they all said, "Teacher, you are a liar. Why do you lie, teacher?" Is this vid staged and scripted, or do Turks apologize easily?? Honestly, I could never get that many Koreans to apologize about anything.

I find fan death hilarious and if I was in Korea, I would totally do a massive expose on it. As to apologies, some refuse to believe or apologise to this day.  Mostly though, Turks aren't too proud to admit they were wrong which is cool.
