Judy was a 'triple' threat, she sang, danced, acted all brilliantly.
She wasn't prepared to be anything but a performer, which she did w/ elegance and grace.
Wonderful to have her on film and record.
No one could move an audience like Judy.
She died too young.

Can you believe she filmed this number AFTER she was fired from MGM. After a suicide attempt, after she had gained "too much weight" (at least in the eyes of the studios), after her drug addiction had taken its toll, after her second marriage had fallen apart, after she was thought completely finsished and done with. Leave it to Garland to come back thinner, healthier and in better voice than ever after facing so much hardship. Truly one of the greatest performers to ever grace this world.

@1mommas I agree with every word you wrote about Judy. If only she had found a way for herself, in her own life, to "Get Happy." She died far too young. Maybe, with all the drugs that her studio gave to her, (and to other young performers, to keep them alert and working for long hours), kept her from knowing what a normal body felt like. Nobody, even after all these years, has ever been able to sing like Judy. RIP, dear girl, and thank you.
Hi! :)) Yes I have the complete set. Do you still want me to load up the outtakes?
