Brandon Kiser demonstrates a series of Arm Traps from the Guard. MMA Arm Trapping is a method of increasing the efficiency of striking techniques while in a grappling situation. Rather than chip away with the Spray and Pray Methodology of the old Ground and Pound , the idea is to place one or two much more surgical strikes to end a fight with fewer broken hands and less effort.

  • interesting, but I just don't see it's happening.

  • @BongSao1979 well i ment it the other way around

  • @v1ntyred That means it would be almost certain u would get to pull that shit off. I think you meant 00.01% chance.

  • it would be like 99.9% chance u would ever get to pull that shit off .

  • Check out Rubix cube techniques 10th planet jiu-jitsu

  • Wonder if you could sweep him from there and go directly into mount?

  • I agree, I guess you woud probably get to land one or two big, clean shots. But still looks like a very very difficult move to pull-off in real situation. People in your guard ALWAYS oppose some kind of resistance to ANYTHING you re trying to do, they don t just stand still like a JJ dummy. If you look at all the pro fights even in Japan people are usually unanable to make crazy stuff like that happen. Still the most efficient way to retaliate from the guard are armbars, triangles statistically.

  • Yeah but even if he is able to break free you get 2-3 free punches right at his face. Thats gotta hurt in someway.

  • this is very hard to muscle through, if he keeps that leg pushing back he can control his posture, even sweep him from there

  • Very creative. However, I can't see even a moderately trained athlete being unable to muscle his arm around that foot.

To be fair, though, I haven't tried it either. Someone try it out and let us know?
