Police and Security Encounter outside the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis on May 26, 2010. A group was outside protesting the "Let's Get Motivated" seminar that included speakers such as Rudy Giuliani and Colin Powell.
The Minneapolis Police Department and Target Center Security claimed that the public sidewalk was "private" and forced the group to move across the street. My camera was almost grabbed by the security during this incident.
hahahah "My camera was almost grabbed by the security during this incident." hahahha

Sorry the store owner is not the judge of space especially if it's public property! The officer was being nice, yes you have to give him credit for not bullying the public. However, he was working for the banks not the people. Were the pedstrians complaining? Were people being blocked from entering the establishment, no. Then whats the beef? Bankers did like people holding signs up in front of their offices. That would identify the bad bankers!

This was no big deal, really, the police officer was nice about it asking nicly, if the store owner wants them off the property then its the cops job to get them off the said property period.

Target Center is owned by the city of Minneapolis. In addition, a sidewalk is not private property, nor is the TC. It is rented out by various groups, like musicians, the Timberwolves, etc.
So a public sidewalk next to a public building is private property? Hardly.
