    Hi purpledino64, we've been using the 'i' since 2001, when we launched the control concept named "iDrive". Today, the 'i' in BMW i stands for innovative, inclusive and inspirational. Those are all adjectives, so we left the letter in lower case.

    Some % comes from renewable energy, plus people can purchase solar panels or wind turbines to charge their vehicles. Think outside the box. Plus the plant in Washington D.C. uses hydro (water) power to power the plant. Now you just look stupid LOL
