U.S. Senator Robert Menendez joins fellow Finance Committee members Senators Schumer and Stabenow to call on health insurance companies to do their part in health care reform. July 15, 2009
The current private health insurance system has broken us. We are disgraced. As a nation vis a vis health, we are at the bottom of the heap of "developed" countries. If your rich enough, have a good enough job, and willing to contribute to the tens of millions of dollars of annual salaries to health insurance execs, you have insurance. If you don't, you have a prayer to stay healthy. What a crock. DOWN WITH THE PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE SYSTEM!!!
if the private sector is unable to provide affordable health insurance for every American and they only want to "cover" rich healthy individuals then it's time for the government to tell them the party is over.
The private sector so far gave to America a Health System that is far from the best one and the most expensive in the world... With these facts I cannot understand how there are people able to pronounce the word "socialism" when finally an administration wants to fix this.

we are really trapped; Our corporations are evil and the government too, Let s call SUPERMAN
I hope the public option is going to take the medical costs down, with that objective in mind the plan is necessary even being expensive.
About the post office, if you do not like USPS you can use UPS, DHL, etc whats wrong with that?? Why we cannot do the same with our health?

We cannot afford this.
These politicians create a problem and then they want to fix it. Enough.
The US government takes in 2 trillion dollars and spend 4 trillion. They want to raise the debt ceiling above the 12.1 trillion already approved.
We have 63 trillion in unfunded promises.
We are broke.
The government can't run the Post Office at a profit and that's a monopoly. Politicians run things to benefit themselves. Don't buy into this.
