Anna Netrebko in her very first assumption of Donizetti's Anna Bolena and Elina Garanca in her already acclaimed role of Giovanna Seymour sing the famous duet scene: "Sul suo capo... Al par del mio... Va, infelice". The conductor is Evelino Pidò.

they sound great, but they traded parts at the end, the mezzo is supposed to be singing the top part of those thirds

I really like their voices and their singing techniques, not to mention that they are also very beautiful women.

Elina's singing is top-notch here, no doubt about it in my mind at least. As for AN, what a presence she possesses. She sings with an an urgency and abandon that is so wrong yet so right. Even the raspiness heard around 1:00 and later 1:19 seems right. It shouldn't happen, but it conveys the drama and the angst of her character so well. Its not that she is able to get away with it, its that she sings with such honesty and conviction it just happens at the right time and the right places. JMHO.
