  • if youve ever seen sephiroth's blade from final fantasy i would really like you to make it and put it on youtube because its a sweet sword and would really be cool to show it and maybe even show people how to make it. just a suggestion.

  • I looked up a photo of it on line. It is just a Katana with a really lonf blade. Although it does look cool, I do believe that something would be close to worthless in a combat setting. Still if you are willing to look past the weight and balance issues, it can be made by making a katans boffer, and just double, if not, triple the length of the blade.

  • but it has the flaw of all long weapons. That is, the moment I get past the point of the weapon, you have 2 options, back up or lose the fight. Long weapons allow for attacks at lenght, but that is where most of their defense is as well.

  • Hey Ogunshi, I'm looking to make my first LARP sword, a two handed bastard sword, with a handle at 8.5 inch length, a 3 inch hand guard, and a blade under 40 inches in length, with a width of about 2.5-3.5 inches. Any advice? Other peoples advice is greatly appreciated and wellcomed...

  • it sounds like a big weapon. I really can't give any advice that would be helpful as I know nothing about you, or your skill. And I don't know which LARP this is for, if any.

  • Weird is good. Zen is good.

    Thank you master.

  • please, I am in no way a master.

  • Quite a bit of information in this series. I am beginning to LARP with a group called Alliance (Formerly NERO-Alliance) and will be putting this information to good use. I think a combination of these techniques, i.e making molds of things like jewels and other ornamentations out of pour foam and DAPing them onto blue foam swords could make for interesting variations. Thanks for the insight.

  • @masonnewell18 a couple of my friends and i made sepiroths and clouds ...im 6' 5" and can bench 380 lbs and i had a hell of a time swingin that bitch ...sold on ebay for 50 bucks though lmao

  • @ogunshi The weapon Sephiroth uses is modeled after a Daikatana though its clearly larger. Plus as you have pointed out it has major flaws. Certainly would make a great project :). Also great videos I'm just getting into this with a group called WOTS so your videos have helped :]

  • yea i understand, it is a huge sword but if your strong enough and can handle it and able to control it good then it would be very useful in larp fights

  • is it ok to cover the tubesock with ductape to give it a more realistic look or will that make the blade to hard? plz respond!
