  • Guillaume is the official name of the conqueror. All are french-normands dinasty: Anjou Plantagenet- - Lancaster Plantagenet - - York Tudor is Welsh but with french.normand symbols Stuart are scotish-normand 40% words of english have origin in french. The motto of United Kingdom of the Great Britain is french. "Dieu et mon droit" The flower of lys and leopards in shields are french and normans(normandie)
  • Guillaume ( William ! ) and all the Normands were christians like other French, not polytheists as their viking's ancestors , and were maried or have children with French ... So, William's mother was named Arlette and his wife's name was Mathile ... No more french name !!! She was his cousin ... So, William-Guillaume was french as most as we can be !!!

The Vikings were settled in the Normandy for more than 150 years and were no more called " vikings " since a long time...

  • The Scandinavian settlement lasted for well over a century. It started before 911 and continued well into the reign of Richard II who's mother was a Danish immigrant named Gunnora. These statements that the Norse in Normandy were a few hundreds are the result of the wishful thinking of French nationalists jealous of Normandy and it's Viking heritage. The Norman language has more Nordic words than French has Frankish. I'm from Normandy and proud of my Viking roots ;)

  • you are just a kid, but this video is very good ;)

  • the english isnt known for being tall.

  • And the word "duc" proves that Guillaume-William was under the orders of the king of France ... It is a title of french nobility, not of viking nobility !
